Governance, Accountability & Public Service Delivery

SEMA works with government institutions to improve transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in public service delivery. Through citizen feedback, evidence generation, and collaborative engagement with public institutions, SEMA helps identify service delivery gaps and develop practical solutions.

Aim: To strengthen accountable, transparent, and citizen-centred public institutions that deliver quality services.

Citizen Voice & Civic Participation

We create opportunities for communities to engage with institutions, share their experiences, and influence decisions that affect their lives. SEMA builds inclusive feedback mechanisms and participatory spaces that amplify community voices.

Access to Justice, Gender, & Rule of Law

SEMA supports efforts to improve access to justice, legal awareness, and accountability within justice institutions. Through research, citizen engagement, and partnerships, we promote fair, responsive, and accessible justice systems.

Aim: To strengthen trust and access to justice for all, particularly vulnerable and marginalised populations.

Health Systems Accountability

SEMA works to improve health service delivery by collecting patient experiences, strengthening accountability mechanisms, and supporting evidence-based decision-making within health systems.

Aim: To promote responsive, equitable, and people-centred health services.

Digital Innovation & Civic Technology

We develop and deploy AI and technology-enabled solutions that make citizen feedback, participation, and accountability more accessible, combining low-tech and digital tools to bridge the gap between communities and institutions.

Aim: To leverage technology for inclusive governance and responsive public services.
